What’s on the CD
This book on CD comes with PDF files for the entire book and all the source
code and files to help you train even more quickly…and
to save you development time on the job.
Please note, however, that this CD doesn’t include a COBOL compiler that you can use for developing COBOL programs on your own PC. You need to buy that separately.
Here’s what you do get besides the book in PDF:
1) The source code and test data for the 11 complete
programs that are used as examples in the book (you can use
them as starting points for your own programs on the job).
2) All of the source programs and data that you need for doing
the exercises at the end of each coding chapter on your own
PC (that way, you don’t have to start every exercise
from scratch).
3) All of the data and copy members that you need for doing
the student projects in the appendix of the book.
4) The source code for a program called LISTMODS, which you
can use to generate a structure listing from the source code
of any other structured COBOL program…it provides the
quickest and best design documentation that we’ve ever
seen.
