What’s in the Book Programs file?
This file contains the source code for the 11 complete programs in the
book. From interactive programs to multi-level report programs to file update
programs, these are typical of the programs you’ll develop every day on
the job. This file also contains a Readme.txt file that summarizes what
programs are included and how they relate to the chapters in the book.
What’s in Net Express Documents?
This file contains two documents in PDF format: a Net Express tutorial and a set of Net Express exercises.
The Net Express tutorial shows you how to use the Integrated
Development Environment of Micro Focus Net Express to
edit, compile, test, and debug COBOL programs. So if
you’re using Net Express, we suggest that you read
this tutorial instead of chapter 2 in the book, because
that chapter shows you how to use Micro Focus Personal
COBOL, which is no longer available.
The Net Express exercises are modified versions of
the exercises in the book that are specifically designed
for use with Net Express.
