Murach's ASP.NET 2.0 Web Programming with VB 2005
This book is designed to teach web programming to anyone
who has the core skills covered in Murach's Visual Basic 2005.
Trainers tell us they really appreciate the flexibility
that this book provides. It's divided into 5 sections,
but after the first section...which teaches the basics
of developing multi-page web applications...you can
go on to any section or topic that you want to cover
next.
And while all the sections provide great instruction,
I would say that the material on database processing
is especially strong. Because data handling has always
been a mainstay of enterprise programming, this is an
area in which we have over 30 years of experience, and
it shows in the way we present the powerful database
features that are central to ASP.NET 2.0 programming.
(By the way, our ASP.NET 2.0 book is pretty much the
same for both VB and C#; the main difference is in the
code in the examples. As a result, you can create and
teach a single course for both sets of developers, then
give them a copy of the appropriate book to help them
back on the job.)

Instructor's CD
The Instructor's CD for this book includes these materials:
- Instructional objectives by chapter
- PowerPoint slides for classroom presentations
- Practice exercises for the first 4 chapters (with starting code and data to save your students time), plus exercise solutions
- Student projects that cover multiple chapters, along with model solutions
- A question bank in both RTF and ExamView formats (though we can provide it in WebCT or Blackboard format as well)
- Source code and data for all of the applications in the book
For a detailed look at these materials and how you
can use them in your course, please view
the Instructor's Summary that we've prepared (it's
a PDF document). Then, if you like what you see, you
can get the Instructor's CD. For more information, just
